Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer to join a large federal program out of the Herndon, VA area. The Java Developer will have hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance applications using Java and related technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java Development
- Experience with front-end and back-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GoogleCloud)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, etc)
- Java framework experience such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Proficient in SQL and working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting production issues
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and systems
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services

- Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance
- Prior experience supporting large-scale federal programs
- Must have an ACTIVE Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
