RDTS is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer contractor to support a program with the State of Maryland in Linthicum, MD, to provide automated systems applications to customers and solve complex business problems through application development.
Requirements
- Highly skilled and experienced Full stack technical lead with strong expertise in Angular and Node.js
- Architect and develop modern, responsive front-end interfaces using Angular (v111+)
- Design and implement robust backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express and related technologies
- Experience with NoSQL/SQL databases (eg., MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS
- Knowledge of websockets or microservices architecture
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Developing enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features
- Determining specifications, then plans, designs, and develops the most complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes (either individually or in concert with a project team)
- Developing programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse
- Architect and develop modern, responsive front-end interfaces using Angular (v111+)
- Design and implement robust backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express and related technologies
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, test automation and best practices
- Take ownership of system architecture, performance optimization, and scalability

- This position is fully onsite and full-time, Monday-Friday with standard office hours (i.e. 8:00am-5:00pm).
