BNY is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join their Rate Server Technology Team to build and enhance applications, support critical market data systems, and implement innovative solutions that meet business needs.
Requirements
- strong expertise in backend Java development
- Thorough knowledge of designing/architecting microservice and Web API-based platforms
- Experience with SQL Server, database design, stored procedures, tables, and ETL processes
- Ability to troubleshoot/support both Java and .NET environments
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and participating in sprints
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (AppEngine), Jira, Git CI/CD, and DevOps practices
- Frontend development experience with Angular, React, JavaScript, or HTML
Responsibilities
- Primarily focus on backend Java development to design, build, and enhance full-stack applications.
- Implement microservices, Web APIs, and server-side logic to support frontend and operational needs.
- Ensure quality code and scalable architecture for critical market data systems.
- Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to production services during EST trading hours.
- Manage both .NET and Java issues as needed.
- Architect microservice and Web API-based platforms, implement unit testing, and maintain performance reliability.
- Work with SQL Server or other databases, ETL processes (SSIS), stored procedures, and data extraction/loading.
Other
- The developer will collaborate with business and technology teams to gather requirements and implement innovative solutions that effectively meet business needs.
- Participate in daily scrums and sprint planning, including collaboration with offshore teams.
- Production support is approximately 30% of the role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
