JMP R&D DevOps team's goals include managing JMP R&D infrastructure and tools, with a security mindset. This includes classifying and protecting JMP intellectual property through least-privilege access management. As security needs evolve with time, our DevOps strategies continue to evolve as well. Another of our goals is to provide assistance to R&D project teams to help review and prioritize their planned work, within the security space and also in improvements to the JMP software. Overall, this role focuses on enhancing security and operational efficiency within our development environment.
Requirements
- Ability to develop novel solutions to technical problems
 
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, source control systems, ticketing-system tools like Jira, and document storage tools like Confluence
 
- Familiarity with using APIs
 
- Interest in learning more about the stages of SDLC (software development life cycle) at a commercial software company
 
Responsibilities
- Assist in classifying and protecting JMP intellectual property through least-privilege access management, in our source control systems as well as tools
 
- Support compliance with cybersecurity Executive Order 14028, ensuring governance for a secure software supply chain
 
- Collaborate with DevOps and R&D project teams to review and organize planned work and backlogs using industry-standard tools such as Jira and Confluence
