Westhab is looking to hire a Job Developer to establish and maintain activities to develop, locate, and secure job opportunities for program participants.
Requirements
- two years’ experience in sales, job development, social service or employment and training programs working with disadvantaged adults
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains employer relationships in the community
- Assesses participants’ skill sets and experiences in order to seek appropriate job opportunities for them
- Develops employer resources information and maintains a job bank
- Delivers job readiness-training workshops to program participants, simulating workplace environment whenever possible
- Assists participants in assessing their job skills for positions
- Instruct participants in job seeking, application procedures, resume writing, interview preparation, and job retention skills
- Conducts job site visits after placement to ensure success by providing job analysis
Other
- Proof of covid 19 vaccine is required.
- Must have valid NYS Driver’s License and car available for work.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Participates in outreach and recruitment activities by coordinating and attending job fairs
- Provides job search/career information workshops and presentations to participants/residents
