Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Jr. AI Developer to support the Air Force Institute of Technology’s (AFIT) Cyberspace Technical Center of Excellence (CyTCoE) in designing and implementing AI/ML solutions.
Requirements
- Strong Python background; familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and tools (e.g., SageMaker, Databricks).
- Knowledge of APIs, data integration, and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, MLflow).
- Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (esp. in regulated environments like DoD).
- 3+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud solutions.
- 2+ years of experience designing or implementing AI/ML solutions in production.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable data architectures to support AI/ML workloads.
- Integrate AI solutions via APIs into enterprise systems.
- Build and manage data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and analytics.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy AI/ML models in cloud environments.
- Ensure cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure) supports data-driven applications.
- Define data models and storage solutions for real-time and batch data.
- Support MLOps practices for model versioning, testing, and deployment.

- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience working in MLOps environments and deploying ML models at scale is a strong plus.
