Batteries Plus is looking for a Jr Designer/Developer to support the creation of engaging, user-friendly digital experiences across their eCommerce platforms to enhance online customer experience and strengthen brand presence.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) preferred.
- Stay current with digital design trends, accessibility standards, and responsive design best practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and documentation for digital experiences.
- Support the implementation of new web features and components in collaboration with the eCommerce and CX teams.
- Maintain and apply brand guidelines, ensuring visual consistency and accessibility across all designs.
- Help optimize user flows through UX feedback, data analysis, and usability testing.
- Contribute to maintaining asset libraries, design systems, and documentation.
- Write and test front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to implement designs.
- Troubleshoot minor front-end issues and support development tickets as needed.

- Minimum of 1 year of professional design or front-end development experience.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating both design and development capabilities required.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
