Element is looking to solve the business problem of efficiently crafting meaningful user experiences for government and commercial customers by breaking down complex problems into fundamental elements to create modern digital solutions that drive efficiency, maximize taxpayer dollars, and deliver essential outcomes that serve the people.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with at least one front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue) and one back-end environment (Node.js, Express, Django, or Flask).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Understanding of Git-based version control and Agile development practices.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs.
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support the implementation of user interfaces using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Assist in building server-side logic, APIs, and database integrations using languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C, or Node.js.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, QA testers, product owners, and business analysts.
  • Troubleshoot and debug application issues, contributing to continuous improvement and performance enhancements.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience (including internships or academic projects) in full stack development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
  • Must reside in the Continental US.
