SAIC is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their team in Ashburn, VA, to design and develop .Net applications, middleware, user interfaces, and web services, while also integrating with databases and providing engineering support for deployed solutions.
Requirements
- Middleware and User interface driven applications.
- Web Services development.
- Multi-threaded applications; Exception handling.
- Integration with hardware devices and vendor Software development Kits (SDKs).
- Javascript, Vue.js, C-Sharp, .NET Core, Web API, Visual Studio code, Harness, Gitlab, xUnit, SonarQube.
- AWS experience.
- Agile development.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop .Net applications including middleware applications, user interface applications (java script framework), and web services applications.
- Develop and integrate with PostgreSQL server databases.
- Develop software design documentation which may include design diagrams, data flow diagrams, software module descriptions, etc.
- Use Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools to include Microsoft Visual Studio and GIT
- Manage software testing activities to include data setup, defect troubleshooting and resolution.
- Provide Tier 3 / 4 engineering support, as needed, for solutions deployed to production.
Other
- Active member of the agile software development team participating in all Program Increment and Sprint ceremonies.
- Ability to work in team environments across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance.
- Current holder of a DHS Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Note: Employment will be contingent upon having/obtaining a DHS Public Trust clearance prior to starting.
