Ninth Wave is seeking a Jr. Java Software Developer to assist various projects for their technical teams, design, develop, and test application code that meets business and technical objectives, and collaborate to maintain and patch systems, software, and applications to eliminate bug fixes, security vulnerabilities and maintain technology currency of systems and applications.
Requirements
- Proficient in Java, ideally with exposure to RESTful APIs
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain back-end software using Java and related frameworks
- Collaborate with senior engineers in code reviews and agile development practices
- Update and maintain technical documentation
- Support bug fixes, security updates, and system improvements
- Participate in a distribute development team and contribute to team meetings
Other
- Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a Computer Science or related program
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA preferred
