Amentum is seeking a JR Software Engineer to support challenging, mission-critical projects in the Cyber, Security, & Intel space, focusing on front-end equipment configuration/maintenance, back-end repositories, front-end dashboards, and the full data processing thread for signals analysis tools deployed to field sites.
Requirements
- One or more year of Java programming experience or development of presentation tiers
- Familiarity with JavaScript and spring is desired
- Experience with JSP and servlet programming
- Experience with JEE and enterprise web application design and development
- Experience designing and writing REST-ful applications
- Ability to create and deploy applications in an Apache tomcat web server
- Experience programming on Linux platforms
Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g. processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
- Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
- Resolves software problem reports.
- Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
- Design and code new software or modifies existing software to add new features
Other
- Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI with Poly
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, or an additional 4 years of experience.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project and Visio
