Valkyrie Enterprises is looking to solve the problem of developing and deploying software products that support US and International Defense Services and Agencies by hiring a Software Engineer
Requirements
- Must have experience with JAVA, C++, PYTHON or other common languages
- Experience with software design patterns and applying them in an existing product's architecture, preferred
- Experience with computer systems administration, such as Linux, Windows, or IOS, preferred
- Experience with simulation/modeling tools - SimScript
- Experience with develop tracking tools sets – Azure, Git, or other, preferred
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, preferred
- Experience with virtualization and / or container-based deployment, preferred
Responsibilities
- Become a contributor to an important wargaming simulation software product
- Advance the product’s capabilities for customers by developing new features, modify as needed existing ones, and address issues
- Review and update documentation for the software product
- Build and deploy an instance of the software on a Virtual Machine
- Understand and implement cyber security best practices
- Perform unit testing, peer reviews, integration testing, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Produce a set of recommendations to improve existing training guides for the product
Other
- Must have a BS or BA in a STEM discipline with a preference of software development, mathematics, engineering, or computer/software engineering
- Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must have advanced time management, problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Must have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
