Antech is driving the future of pet health as part of Mars Science & Diagnostics, and is seeking an AI Scientist to join their R&D organization, focusing on computer vision tasks and basic data engineering responsibilities to make A Better World for Pets
Requirements
- Strong foundational knowledge in training deep learning models (e.g., PyTorch)
- Proficient in Python and pandas
- Experience with Azure Cloud is a plus
- Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy)
- Awareness of software development best practices (version control, clean code principles)
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud services for data storage or model deployment
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) or CI/CD pipelines
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, training, and evaluation of computer vision models for veterinary diagnostic applications
- Conduct experiments under the guidance of senior team members, ensuring rigorous testing and documentation
- Help maintain and improve basic data pipelines for data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation
- Participate in model deployment processes, including testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a production environment
- Work closely with software engineers to integrate computer vision solutions into larger systems or applications
- Proactively seek feedback and mentoring from senior scientists and team leads
- Follow clean code and version control guidelines to maintain high-quality project repositories

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and methodologies
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Travel: 5% (based on location may increase)
