Supporting Navy Littoral Combat Ship Squadron with database development and metrics business analysis to improve operational efficiency and decision-making
Requirements
- Ability to build and maintain relational databases for centralized metrics tracking
- Ability to migrate legacy spreadsheet systems into automated platforms
- Experience ensuring database security, accessibility, and multi-user functionality
- Ability to collaborate with Maintenance Execution Teams and SMEs to model data workflows
- Skillsets in creating user-friendly reports, dashboards, and charts
- Ability to develop applications using Access, SharePoint, SQL, VBA, and HTML
- Technical tools mastery: Develop applications and automation using tools such as Microsoft Access, SharePoint, SQL Server, VBA/HTML for form design and scripting
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize databases that support business operations, performance tracking, and data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate with Metrics Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate operational needs into efficient database structures
- Convert complex, spreadsheet-based processes into streamlined, multi-user databases using tools such as Microsoft Access, SharePoint, SQL, VBA, and HTML
- Build clean, efficient, and scalable database systems that transform messy spreadsheets into actionable insights
- Enable database automation with user-friendly dashboards, ensuring data is digestible, decisions are data-driven, and operations stay mission-ready

- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Minimum of 3 years of database development experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent military or commercial experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
