SimplePractice is seeking a Junior Marketing Data Analyst to enhance their marketing reporting infrastructure and provide analytical support for marketing and financial initiatives, aiming to improve the understanding of marketing ROI and campaign performance.

Requirements

  • Foundational SQL skills including SELECT statements, JOINs, basic aggregations, and filtering
  • Basic understanding of ML concepts and experience with at least one ML framework (Python/scikit-learn, R, etc.)
  • Entry-level experience creating basic charts, filters, and dashboards in Tableau
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and experience working with structured data
  • Basic Excel/spreadsheet skills for simple financial calculations and modeling

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze marketing and financial data from various databases
  • Assist in updating and troubleshooting Tableau visualizations and reports for Finance leadership and marketing stakeholders
  • Support the creation of marketing ROI reports, budget variance analysis, and campaign financial performance tracking
  • Monitor data integrity and flag any anomalies or inconsistencies in marketing and financial datasets
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and quality assurance of existing marketing dashboards and automated reports used by Finance and Marketing teams
  • Assist with marketing budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis as part of the FP&A process
  • Support with basic data pulls and preliminary analysis for finance and marketing initiatives

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
