Vivacity Tech is looking to support the development of physical products through hands-on involvement in design, prototyping, and production preparation
Requirements
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar tools for 3D modeling and design documentation
- Ability to learn quickly and apply feedback through iterative, hands-on product development processes
- Strong visual communication skills, including sketching, rendering, and creating clear design visuals
- Enthusiasm for physical products and a keen interest in how things are designed, assembled, and function in the real world
- Expert technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and assist and train others
- Extremely proficient with Google Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software
- Ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and visual renderings to support product development
- Assist in hands-on prototype builds, including assembly, testing, and iteration
- Participate in product ideation sessions and contribute design and engineering input during early-stage concept development
- Support product testing efforts by preparing documentation, recording results, and suggesting improvements
- Help maintain and update bills of materials (BOMs) and track parts sourcing and vendor timelines
- Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
- Conduct research on materials, components, and processes relevant to active projects
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to bend, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Less than 10% travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
