GDIT is looking to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with a Veteran first vision to transform the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) with greater visibility into claims processing, aiming to accelerate the delivery of benefits to Veterans and their families.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Python programming and understanding of its ecosystem and libraries
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Basic knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC )best practices
- Understanding of REST APIs and JSON
- Experience with Fast API, Flask, or Django frameworks.
- Understanding of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases
Responsibilities
- Assist with development and integration of backend services using Python
- Collaborate with senior developers to implement, test, and maintain APIs and other integration solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code, adhering to industry best practices.
- Help build automated tests and internal tools
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing and documentation
- Contribute to improving integration workflow and services.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
