Blain's Farm & Fleet is looking to solve the problem of continuous improvement throughout the development life cycle of computer applications by hiring Junior Software Developers to assist with coding, maintenance, bug fixes, and enhancements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Basic understanding of software development principles and methodologies
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages.
- Knowledge of basic data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Awareness of version control systems and how to use them for code management.
- Basic understanding of web development frameworks and technologies
- Knowledge of databases and SQL for querying and managing data.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the development manager with all aspects of software design and coding
- Learning the codebase and improving coding skills
- Writing and maintaining code
- Working on bug fixes
- Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems
- Responding to requests from the development team
- Conducting development tests
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a software development is preferred
- Attending and contributing to development meetings
- Gathering information from consumers about program functionality
