Big Ideas Learning, a Larson Texts Company, is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to support their technology department in the creation of software that meets stakeholder needs, ensuring security, performance, documentation, and functionality of new and existing software.
Requirements
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, software architecture, and Agile processes.
- Experience with full stack development.
- Familiarity with version control systems (ex. Git)
- Experience with SQL and relational DB design a plus.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
Responsibilities
- Develop new software systems and features.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing software systems.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Adhere to and influence software development best practices and department goals.
- Assist in the creation of software that meets the needs of all stakeholders.

- Ensures the proper security, performance, documentation, and functionality of both new and existing software.
