Modernize the IRS legacy Tax processing systems to improve taxpayer experience, increase voluntary compliance, and reduce the IRS's reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology.
Requirements
- Experience with test script creation and execution management
- Experience with test automation framework (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
- Experience backend testing including APIs and database (SQL knowledge is a plus)
- Experience with software development lifecycle
- Experience with continuous integration/ continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with non-functional testing is a plus (Accessibility, Performance, Security, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and understanding the project requirements, creating detailed test plans and cases, setting up test environments, and executing manual and automated tests.
- Log and track defects, perform regression and acceptance tests, and ensure the updated code meets all functional and non-functional requirements.
- Document activities, report progress to stakeholders, and continuously improve testing processes to maintain the quality and reliability of the modernized code.
