a.i. solutions is looking to solve the problem of monitoring and analyzing Space Domain Awareness (SDA) data, and supporting the team in spacecraft modeling, SDA operator training, and creation of new products and services.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience with spacecraft flight dynamics, including trajectory and maneuver planning, navigation, orbit determination, attitude determination, surveillance sensor observations, and/or conjunction assessment
  • Experience with flight dynamics tools; experience with FreeFlyer is highly preferred
  • Software development experience throughout the full life cycle; experience with Java development is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of space domain awareness (SDA) or space situational awareness (SSA)
  • Knowledge of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems
  • Machine learning knowledge and experience
  • Experience with data analysis software

Responsibilities

  • Monitor space domain awareness (SDA) data for quality, and analyze it for problems, trends, and root causes
  • Support the team as they model spacecraft and on-orbit space events for SDA operator training
  • Assist the team as they develop flight dynamics software components and systems through the entire software development life cycle
  • Present daily briefings to customers, stakeholders, and data providers on the current data quality metrics
  • Communicate analysis results with internal and external teams, and then work towards solutions to identified issues
  • Document and communicate your work to peers and customers through both formal and informal forums
  • Coordinate and communicate with users and supervisors to understand concepts, software and system requirements, and team priorities

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field
  • 0 to 5+ years of experience in data analysis, astrodynamics, spacecraft operations, or ground system development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • US citizenship
  • A Department of Defense security clearance or the ability to get one
