Southwest Airlines is looking to develop and implement technology solutions to support its business and customer needs.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, concepts, and technologies
- Programming aptitude and ability for logical and abstract thinking
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Completion of a formal Technology training program that includes coursework in programming languages (Java, HTML, CSS, SQL, AWS, CI/CD, Chrome Developer Tools, Cloud)
- Experience with AWS, Node.js, Python, Serverless Technologies, Lambda, and S3 (preferred)
- Cybersecurity, IT help desk, data, web development or other related technical studies
- CI/CD, Chrome Developer Tools, Cloud
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop program code, test, document, and implement functionality that is technically sound and well integrated into application systems
- Understand how technology platforms/architectures are applied to systems and automated business solutions
- Demonstrate ability to grow technical skillset to include taking on more software development work
- Facilitate and complete analysis, design, and programming of viable solutions to business problems according to user specifications
- Develop, present and effectively communicate ideas and strategies to a variety of audiences
Other
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards
- Must be able to travel and/or attend Company and non-Company facilities and remote locations as necessary
- Ability to perform work duties from a limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
