Citi, a leading global bank, is looking to enhance its Enterprise Operations & Technology teams by hiring a Kafka Messaging Infrastructure Lead. This role is crucial for ensuring the bank's technology solutions are secure, reliable, and efficient, ultimately improving client and partner experiences. The lead will be responsible for the strategic direction and technical authority within the Kafka messaging infrastructure, addressing complex challenges and driving innovation.
Requirements
- Expert in Installing and maintaining the Confluent Platform components including Apache Kafka, Confluent Control Center, Confluent Schema Registry, connectors, Confluent Replicator, and Confluent Security Plugins
- Strong admin experience for Confluent Kafka
- Experience administering the Event Driven Architecture Components: Apache Kafka, Kafka Brokers, Zookeeper, Confluent Control Center, Confluent Schema Registry, Connect cluster etc.
- Experience performing Confluent Platform installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Experience in managing large scale multi-nodes Kafka cluster environments.
- 2+ years of experience with either of the scripting technologies Ansible (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
Responsibilities
- The Kafka Messaging Infrastructure Lead is responsible to partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems; and recommend and implements solutions.
- Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex, high impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems and industry standards; documents requirements.
- Partners with multiple technology areas and management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals.
- Works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document Systems impacts and support requirements
- Considers the implications of the application of technology to the current environment.
- Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicates impact; proposes risk mitigation options.
- Provides in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
