Requirements
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of CAD modeling
- Hands-on fabrication and prototyping skills
- Intern and/or co-op experience exhibiting these skills
- Broad knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, stamping, injection molding, welding, tube bending, and hydroforming
- Ability to contribute within a diverse, global engineering organization, leveraging the collective expertise of the team
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Creo), FEA, and CFD tools
- Experience with DFMEA and design critiques
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and Industrial Design to define product specifications using consumer research, market data, and feedback from sales teams
- Analyze competitive products and warranty data to benchmark and inform new design approaches
- Conduct high-level feasibility assessments of initial product concepts
- Develop and refine product concepts using 3D modeling software (Creo), FEA, and CFD tools
- Utilize our advanced prototyping and test lab facilities to create and validate physical prototypes
- Apply tools such as DFMEA and design critiques to proactively address and mitigate potential failure modes
- Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and develop detailed technical drawings incorporating engineering standards and GD&T
Other
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred), or a related technical discipline, earned by June 2026
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship on an on-going basis
