Kohler is looking to accelerate the growth of its engineers through focused training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in diverse product categories, to drive leading edge innovation

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of CAD modeling
  • Hands-on fabrication and prototyping skills
  • Intern and/or co-op experience exhibiting these skills
  • Broad knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, stamping, injection molding, welding, tube bending, and hydroforming
  • Ability to contribute within a diverse, global engineering organization, leveraging the collective expertise of the team
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Creo), FEA, and CFD tools
  • Experience with DFMEA and design critiques

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Industrial Design to define product specifications using consumer research, market data, and feedback from sales teams
  • Analyze competitive products and warranty data to benchmark and inform new design approaches
  • Conduct high-level feasibility assessments of initial product concepts
  • Develop and refine product concepts using 3D modeling software (Creo), FEA, and CFD tools
  • Utilize our advanced prototyping and test lab facilities to create and validate physical prototypes
  • Apply tools such as DFMEA and design critiques to proactively address and mitigate potential failure modes
  • Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and develop detailed technical drawings incorporating engineering standards and GD&T

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred), or a related technical discipline, earned by June 2026
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship on an on-going basis
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Collaborative individuals who work effectively within cross-functional teams—spanning marketing, program management, industrial design, and manufacturing operations—to deliver projects on time and within budget
