Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Lab Technician to join their team to perform various tasks in the lab, including maintaining the lab environment, assembling and building benches and components, and supporting development engineering activities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience (for Lab Technician - Level 3).
- High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience (for Lab Technician - Level 4).
- Demonstrated experience with avionics, electrical systems, fabrication, and/or wire and harness repair.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook) (preferred).
- Knowledge of schematic diagrams and other engineering documentation (preferred).
- Electrical certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the lab environment and performing repairs.
- Assembling and building benches and components.
- Supporting development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
- Working with analog, digital, and video circuits and logic systems.
- Conducting routine testing, troubleshooting, prototype building, and developmental engineering tasks.
- Performing operational tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with design specifications.
- Diagnosing and isolating malfunctions down to the component level.
Other
- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and off-shifts.
- Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
