Reingold is looking for a LAMP web developer to support building and maintaining websites in WordPress and Drupal for commercial and federal contracts, acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients and developing creative solutions to help them reach and influence their audiences.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with PHP and customizing and extending both WordPress and Drupal, including hooks, filters, and content management system best practices.
- Fundamental front-end development experience using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Knowledge of code-versioning tools such as Git.
- Experience with commonly used plugins such as WordPress Advanced Custom Fields and Drupal Storybook.
- Experience configuring hosting platforms, domains, etc.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Interest in exploring and applying AI tools and technologies to enhance development workflows and user experiences across web applications and CMS platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain websites and web applications using the LAMP stack, following the full software development lifecycle.
- Design, configure, test, implement, and support technical solutions that meet client and project requirements.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
- Work within digital experience’s agile frameworks and tools, including Jira and Confluence, to manage tasks and collaborate effectively.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including user experience, information architecture, and search engine optimization, to deliver cohesive digital products.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, client-friendly language and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Present and demo newly implemented features to clients and internal stakeholders.

- This is a hybrid role, requiring at least two days per week on site at Reingold’s headquarters in Alexandria, VA or one day per week on site at our Raleigh, NC office.
