L3Harris is looking to solve the problem of system integration, test, and analysis of mechanical, electrical, and software components for laser and laser system components, subassemblies, products, or systems
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Able to assemble, align and test of laser components, lasers and laser systems assemblies
- Able to perform optical bonding, cleaning and inspection of laser units
- Experience with optical inspections using inferometric equipment
- Experience with PCB assembly of electrical and electro-optical subassemblies
- Experience with soldering and building wiring harness
- Ability to read and understand Engineering Assembly Drawings
Responsibilities
- Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble laser and laser system components, subassemblies, products, or systems: Reads work orders, follows production drawings, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
- Capable of assembling, aligning and testing of laser components, lasers and laser systems assemblies while under limited supervision.
- Able to perform optical bonding, cleaning and inspection of laser units.
- Performs optical inspections using inferometric equipment.
- Makes recommendations for improvements in yield.
- Coordinates with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure a low-cost producible design and support the transition from Development to full rate production.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills through the preparation and presentation of technical reviews and program status
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers
