General Motors is seeking a Launch Electrical Software Coordinator to ensure seamless integration of electrical software and module requirements into production while maintaining manufacturing quality standards during new vehicle program launches.
Requirements
- Strong background in automotive electrical systems, software integration, and module functionality.
- Experience with launch and/or manufacturing environments, with a focus on quality engineering.
- Familiarity with VeSCom processes and Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) strongly preferred.
- Thorough working knowledge of GMS and supporting BIQ4 Deliverables
- Vehicle electrical system diagnostic experience such as Vehicle Spy
- 3+ years of experience in automotive software testing/diagnosis or related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between Manufacturing and the Electrical Team for VeSCom releases during launch.
- Ensure all Electrical BoO elements, manufacturing requirements, and best practices are correctly implemented.
- Manage and verify the correct usage of reflashed parts throughout the production process.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to track and resolve issues related to electrical software and modules.
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with program timing, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Monitor launch progress and escalate critical issues to leadership with clear communication and data-driven recommendations.
