HII's Mission Technologies division is looking for a SkillBridge intern to train as an Engineering Technician to support the LCU 2000 SLEP vessels and their maintenance requirements, aiming to transition military personnel into full-time roles.
Requirements
- SkillBridge Intern will be eligible for Secret Clearance.
- Introduction to CAT ET, setup, and operation
Responsibilities
- further develop skills needed to be presented with a problem, trouble shoot, provide recommendation or path forward to offer a solution, complete reports specific to PMCS of SLEP equipment and support pierside repair work.
- develop a good understanding of the LCU 2000 SLEP upgrades and engines that require PMCS support and continuous maintaining
- Utilize PMCS schedule and complete maintenance actions
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing SLEP systems
- Documenting conditions found and completing weekly PMCS report
- Introduction to the various SLEP equipment and upgrades as well as the applicable safety measures required for HII
- Connect MSD to prime movers for simulated shortcomings, troubleshooting and proper testing

- This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel.
- The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership.
- SkillBridge Intern will be available during business hours of the contract supported for meetings and training.
