Ulta Beauty is looking to engineer for the future of retail by developing novel AI and ML capabilities to drive organizational efficiency and personalization. The company needs to build out solutions that haven't been designed yet, working with previously unexplored data sources, and tackling complex business problems with AI.
Requirements
- Production-quality OoP (Python, C++, etc), proficiency in relevant frameworks (scikit learn, TensorFlow, etc).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS).
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and software engineering principals
- Hands-on experience building ML solutions from inception to launch
- Proven track record of deploying AI models in production environments
- Ability to work cross-functionally to understand business goals and communicate solutions that meet the business objectives.
- A passion for broadening your technical skills and diving into unknown problems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, map out, and implementation of ML solutions to complex business problems
- Architect and implement scalable AI systems
- Mentor a dynamic team of more junior AI engineers and Data Scientists, conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in AI development
- Evaluate and recommend AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to maintain cutting-edge capabilities
- Drive experimentation and innovation by staying updated with the latest research in AI, ML, and deep learning
- Ensure ethical AI development and compliance with data privacy regulations
- Present technical results
Other
- Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or other quantitative field.
- At least 5-7 years’ experience working in data science, machine learning or AI with demonstrated exceptional performance and career progression.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to understand business goals and communicate solutions that meet the business objectives.
- Travel may be required (team collaboration / conferences / vendor meetings).
