Emory University's Division of Advancement and Alumni Engagement is seeking a Lead Systems Software Engineer to support the maintenance and utilization of divisional systems, inspire and steward meaningful relationships, and elevate engagement and giving to fulfill Emory's mission to serve humanity.

Requirements

  • Eight years of information technology experience OR a bachelor's degree and six years of information technology experience.
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages and/or a knowledge of an application and application tools.
  • Significant experience in Salesforce and/or certifications.
  • Experience working with various technologies including advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, mass email applications, relational databases, project management software, technical reporting tools, integrated development environments (e.g. PL-SQL Developer or Visual Studio), and CRM systems.
  • Aptitude in mastering new software, applications, and databases.
  • Salesforce Administrator certifications and/or significant experience with Administrator functions (such as creating users, data tools, profiles, roles, permission sets, custom objects, custom fields, page layouts, workflow rules, validation rules, reports, and dashboards).
  • Experience working with Apex, process builder, workflows, flow builder, SOQL, SQL, releases, integrations, reporting, data analysis, and other Salesforce developer tools along with related troubleshooting needs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and leads the development and maintenance of applications.
  • Consults with customers to understand business problems and develops technical solutions.
  • Provides technical expertise on applications, technical tools and software.
  • Provides technical direction to customers and support staff.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for our Salesforce Affinaquest application.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems resulting from vendor fixes and upgrades.
  • Devises solutions to system problems.

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
