Lumen is looking to drive data strategy and advanced analytics for its Service Delivery and Sales teams within the Public Sector organization to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and revenue growth.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms (Power BI preferred).
- Strong experience with Database Management Systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
- Expertise in ETL processes and data pipeline optimization.
- Experience with Databricks or similar big data platforms is highly desirable.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern data warehousing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of advanced dashboards, reports, and data models using enterprise BI tools (Power BI, etc.).
- Drive the design and implementation of predictive models, scenario planning, and AI-driven analytics to support strategic initiatives.
- Translate complex business needs into technical requirements and oversee the delivery of analytical solutions.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of public sector data.
- Conduct deep-dive root cause analyses and present actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and architecture teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure scalability of BI platforms.
- Document processes, maintain knowledge repositories, and champion continuous improvement in analytics capabilities.

- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics, with a proven track record in leading complex BI projects.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring or leading small teams
- Strong business acumen and ability to align analytics with strategic objectives.
- Knowledge of public sector KPIs, compliance requirements, and performance frameworks.
