THE DEPOSITORY TRUST & CLEARING CORPORATION seeks a Lead Business Intelligence Engineer to work on the Splunk Engineering Team, which maintains the firm's reporting and analytics tools and infrastructure, focusing on Splunk tools including Splunk Cloud, Splunk Enterprise, ITSI and Observability.
Requirements
- Providing engineering and support for Splunk in a production environment, covering all phases of lifecycle management: planning, design, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
- Windows and Unix-like operating system principles, including advanced (power user) functions.
- SQL and relational database systems.
- Developing and integrating with RESTful APIs.
- TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
- Engineering, configuring, deploying and supporting Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, ITSI, and Observability solutions.
- Creating Big Data correlations using the Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL).
Responsibilities
- Working on engineering and development focused projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
- Providing technical and operational support for our customer base as well as other technical areas within the company that utilize our tools
- Risk management functions such as reconciliation of vulnerabilities, security baselines as well as other risk and audit related objectives
- Administrative functions for our tools such as keeping the tool documentation current and handling service requests
- 24x7 on-call L3 support on a rotational schedule with other team members
- Participate in user training to increase awareness of Splunk
- Ensuring incident, problem and change tickets are addressed in a timely fashion, as well as escalating technical and managerial issues
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field and 6 years of experience in the job or related position.
- Following DTCC’s ITIL process for incident, change and problem resolution.
- Telecommuting may be permitted a few days a week. When not telecommuting, must report to DTCC’s office in Coppell, TX
