Disney's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Data team is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to optimize Disney Streaming products (D+, Hulu) by assessing and improving browse telemetry data quality and producing high-impact analysis of streaming product performance.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in independently designing, executing, and interpreting A/B tests.
  • Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate, cohort, and transform large datasets effectively.
  • Advanced skills with both Tableau, Looker, and Look ML
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and the ability to communicate insights through compelling storytelling.
  • Expertise with statistical tools (e.g., R, Python) and data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Independently analyze user navigation and pathing data to uncover actionable insights and drive improvements to the Hulu user experience.
  • Drive rapid-response investigations and anomaly detection efforts to diagnose data or product issues and guide timely remediation.
  • Develop and present recommendations for optimizing experiences, balancing business goals with user satisfaction.
  • Take full ownership of analytics projects, from identifying business needs and formulating hypotheses to delivering polished insights and recommendations.
  • Create dashboards and advanced reports using tools like Tableau and Looker to track performance, trends, and experimentation outcomes.

  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • A demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous business problems with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to identify and appropriately call out issues to leadership
  • Strong motivation and ability to learn from questions and experiences
