Farmers is looking to design and develop IT architecture strategy, standards, and roadmaps to align with their Enterprise architecture vision and direction, addressing challenges in data and analytics, and ensuring scalable, decoupled systems.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in building data assets on Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
- Proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure such as AWS (Athena, EMR, Glue), Azure (Azure Data Fabric) and GCP (BigQuery).
- Proficiency in data streaming technologies (e.g.,Apache Kafka / Flink or AWS Kinesis)
- Proficiency in message brokers (e.g., IBM MQ,RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS)
- Knowledge of API design and management (e.g., REST, GraphQL)
- Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack)
- Skills in reactive systems and programming methods (e.g., Spring WebFlux, Akka)
Responsibilities
- Designs and develops IT architecture strategy, standards and roadmap while creating Enterprise architecture delivery (integrated process, applications, data and technology) in alignment with Enterprise architecture vision and direction.
- Hands-on experience in building data assets on Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
- Proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure such as AWS (Athena, EMR, Glue), Azure (Azure Data Fabric) and GCP (BigQuery).
- Proficiency in data streaming technologies (e.g.,Apache Kafka / Flink or AWS Kinesis)
- Proficiency in message brokers (e.g., IBM MQ,RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS)
- Knowledge of API design and management (e.g., REST, GraphQL)
- Strong knowledge of data mesh architecture and data product design (e.g., decentralized data ownership, clear data contracts)
Other
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
- Strong functional knowledge and business processes
- Strong understanding of Insurance (or any industry) domains such as UW (Policy), Claims processing, Services Operations, etc.
- Communication & Story Telling. Ability to tell a story using STAR or other methods
- Collaboration, leadership and influence skills – Ability to collaborate with other architects, negotiate and influence stakeholders to produce right solution
