The U.S. Space Force Chief Technology and Innovation Office (SF/CTIO) needs expert guidance and technical leadership to design, develop, govern, and implement AI/ML and Data Science solutions.
Requirements
- Familiarity with deep learning approaches and models
- 3-5 years of experience with Hadoop, Tableau, R, SAS, SQL, and/or Python
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical project lead for Data Scientist and AI/ML initiatives within the SF/CTIO portfolio, managing timelines and deliverables
- Track and report on progress toward key milestones, ensuring alignment with both short-term tasks and long-term goals
- Assist in the Assessment and Accreditation of AI/ML capabilities, ensuring all models and solutions meet established standards
- Prepare and deliver high-quality briefings, white papers, and reports to Space Force and DAF leadership on AI/ML integration, capability maturity, and policy implications
- Serve as a key liaison between technical teams and executive leadership, translating AI/ML capabilities into actionable mission outcomes

- Current Active Top Secret Clearance is required
- M.S. in in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science
- Demonstrated ability to communicate on highly technical topics
