Progressive is looking for a lead developer to manage artifact package management services, aiming to streamline software development for their developer community by providing guidance and establishing best practices around artifact strategy, quality, security, and development processes and lifecycles.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Artifactory or a comparable platform, package management, including familiarity with build tools and package formats (Maven, npm, PyPI, NuGet, etc.), as well as experience in managing dependencies and version control for artifacts
- Proficient in various CI/CD pipelines and tools with a solid understanding of how Artifactory integrates into DevOps workflows
- Skilled in scripting languages for automating administrative tasks, with experience in using REST APIs to integrate and automate Artifactory operations
- Strong knowledge of server administration and networking concepts, along with experience working with cloud platforms, as well as containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as LDAP, SAML, OAuth, and RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), along strong skills in debugging issues, analyzing logs, and resolving errors
