Consumer Reports is looking for a lead AI/ML engineer to execute on a strategic multi-year roadmap focused on generative AI, aiming to drive value for customers, empower employees, and address AI harms in the digital marketplace.

Requirements

• 7+ years in AI/ML engineering
• strong fundamentals in math, statistics, probability, machine learning, NLP, generative AI
• expert in Python, SQL, Unix scripting; experience using major AI/ML libraries/frameworks
• experience with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Databricks) building scalable production pipelines
• exposure to LLMs (OpenAI GPT3.5/4, BERT, BART, Dolly etc)

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into AI/ML projects with measurable impact.
• Lead design, development, and deployment of production-ready AI/ML systems.
• Build and maintain end-to-end AI/ML pipelines.
• Research and adopt new AI/ML tools and frameworks.
• Promote responsible AI: ethics, data privacy, compliance.
• Mentor and guide team members in engineering best practices.
• Leverage emerging data technologies and applied AI/ML techniques/frameworks to build reliable, scalable and maintainable production-ready applications.
