KPMG is seeking a Lead Engineer I to join their Tax and Legal Team to deliver real results for clients by leveraging AI-powered features and APIs, and to maintain a scalable and secure system architecture.
Requirements
- Experience building enterprise systems using Python, .NET, C-Sharp, Angular, SQL and Azure is preferred
- Solid understanding of software engineering such as microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization
- Strong Python skills and experience with GenAI and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit‑learn) is preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners and data scientists to translate business needs into AI‑powered features and APIs
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for model inference (on Azure or similar)
- Build and maintain client‑facing web apps in Angular + TypeScript, Python or .NET Framework/C-Sharp backend services and APIs, secure SQL databases (T‑SQL, schema design, stored procs)
- Leverage Azure services (App Services, Functions, SQL Database, DevOps) for deployment, scaling and monitoring
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI services (such as Azure OpenAI, Custom Models Serving) into our front‑end and back‑end systems

- Minimum five years of recent experience in software development and systems architecture
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field is required.
