Baker Hughes' Downstream Chemical Team is looking to improve water and process treatment applications at refinery and industrial plants while providing value to clients
Requirements
- Solid understanding of water and process-related automation technologies as well as industry standards
- Field/operations/application support experience
- Experience with automation discipline
- Knowledge of chemistry, Intellectual Property, and correct application methods
- Understanding of refining and petrochemical business segments
- Experience with Automation technologies and applications
- Ability to function independently as well as in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Leading Automation technical support efforts across existing and new Downstream key accounts within North America
- Working closely with Service Delivery, Sales and Technology teams to design technical job programs including risk mitigation plans
- Providing on-demand support for automation applications in refineries including installation for new applications, troubleshooting and technical recommendations for existing applications
- Building trusting relationships and interfacing with key customers at both corporate and field facilities
- Identifying and collaborating with field team to drive projects, technical and innovative solutions that bring value to customers
- Participating and providing technical leadership in industry forums
- Performing annual technical audits and health checks on all assigned accounts
Other
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Chemical Engineering preferred)
- 5+ years of industrial water treatment experience with 3+ years of experience in automation discipline
- Ability to communicate effectively and convey complex technical concepts accurately and concisely
- Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Ability to lead, plan, coordinate and deliver projects and programs successfully
