WWT is looking for a Lead Developer to architect and implement scalable web applications, AI solutions, components, and libraries that deliver value to their users, supporting the company's mission-critical logic for delivery teams and processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience in application development.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, and frameworks such as Vue.js.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot is a plus.
- Test-First mindset across all levels of application development, including unit, functional, end-to-end, and regression testing.
- Familiarity with library/framework development is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, implement, and maintain custom web applications, AI solutions, and the supporting architecture for a variety of legacy and modernized systems with minimal oversight.
- Lead the design and architecture of complex solutions, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic goals of the organization.
- Evaluate and incorporate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance development processes and product capabilities within teams and the organization.
- Build reusable and modular components to ensure the scalability and maintainability of our codebase.
- Actively participate in planning, story creation, testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases.
- Ensure product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, and resolving problems to meet engineering guidelines.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback and mentoring to team members.
