The Washington State Department Of Labor And Industries is undergoing a business transformation initiative to modernize its technology infrastructure and business processes to better protect the health and safety of workers, ensure medical care and financial help for injured workers, and protect workers' wages and public safety. The Lead IT QA Consultant will support this initiative by providing expert IT QA consulting services.

Requirements

  • Proficient Experience with one or more automated testing applications/tools such as Groovy, Selenium, Junit, Cucumber, or other similar tools for object-oriented programs
  • Experience working with one or more of the following: JavaScript, .Net, JSON, XML, EDI, SQL transactions
  • Experience writing test plans and test cases and exposure to DevOps, Continuous Integration and Agile methodologies
  • Experience in resolving issues found in automated testing
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with Project Management Institute® (PMI®) Preferred
  • A Master Project Management (MPM) certification from a recognized college or institute Preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years providing QA services for a large scale (multi-million dollar) state or Govt. agency IT projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT QA consulting services during the specific time-frame (e.g., procurement development through solution implementation and Go-Live of the initial project phase, project start-up through completion of a key critical event, etc.) and as defined under any authorized Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Leading QA methodology development and refinement in designing the right mixture of manual and automation tests to deliver quality effectively on time and budget to monitor progress against schedule (status and stage of completion), costs, requirements, and project Deliverables in compliance for risk indicators.
  • Inform Client Stakeholders, Project Sponsors, Development Teams, User Acceptance Testing, and functional representatives of risk factors and recommend corrective actions to reduce or prevent risk.
  • Document accomplishments and key Deliverables for the project and, if applicable procurement, which may include evaluation events, assessment of deliverables and tasks specified in the Project Plan for all tracks of each project, etc.
  • Review the quality of deliverables and products produced by Client Stakeholders, Project Sponsors, Development Teams, User Acceptance Testing, and functional representatives if applicable, the selected vendors for business transformation processes and technology.
  • Support the implementation of project management processes, methodologies, and tools to minimize risk and validate content.
  • Conduct project management reviews and assessments of client and vendor activities, work products, and deliverables that includes identification of potential risks and recommendations for mitigation.

  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
  • The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG’s designated Security Office.
