Visa is transitioning into a technology company and needs to apply the newest technology to tackle exciting problems in the payment space. The Artificial Intelligence Platform team, specifically Visa AI as a Service (VAIaS), operationalizes the delivery of AI and decision intelligence to ensure ongoing business values by automating updates to data, models, and applications, and optimizing the performance, scalability, interpretability, and reliability of AI models and services.
Requirements
- Experience in at least one of the following: Golang, Java, or C/C++
- Familiarity with web service standards and related patterns (REST, gRPC)
- Experience implementing solutions for low-latency, distributed services using open standard technologies.
- Exposure to innovative areas such as Machine Learning, Big Data, Distributed Systems or SRE.
Responsibilities
- contribute to both strategic and tactic planning and execution to continuously advance AI Platform's vision and mission
- setting up technical roadmap
- introducing the latest machine learning and system technology to the team
- working with development managers and teams to identify and resolve technical challenges
- working with different products and data science teams to streamline the feature request and model onboarding
- Lead ML Engineer with strong Data and Machine Learning System development and operations experience
- member of Agile scrum teams

- This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.
- This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
- This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
