Shake Shack is looking to mature its People Analytics function by empowering leadership with timely, data-driven decisions through the design and implementation of scalable reporting, advanced analytics, and predictive insights, with a focus on Workday Reporting and Workday Prism Analytics.

Requirements

  • Expert proficiency in Workday Report Writer (Advanced, Matrix, Composite), Calculated Fields, and Dashboards.
  • Strong, demonstrable experience with Workday Prism Analytics (data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization) is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Report Designer (BIRT), Workday Worksheets, Discovery Boards, and Slides is highly preferred.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, including data modeling and complex analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, R, or Python and or using machine learning, generative AI or text mining is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and data security protocols.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive experience in HRIS, People Analytics, or Business Intelligence roles, with a significant focus on report development and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated people analytics solutions (complex reports, predictive models, interactive dashboards) using Workday Report Writer, Worksheets, Discovery Boards, Slides, BIRT, and notably, Workday Prism Analytics.
  • Drive the evolution of our people analytics function by identifying and implementing augmented analytics solutions to automate and streamline insight generation and storytelling.
  • Translate complex business objectives into technical requirements for advanced analytical models and reporting solutions.
  • Develop and champion a people analytics roadmap, identifying key opportunities to leverage data for strategic advantage and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with HR and Operations stakeholders to proactively identify critical business questions and develop analytical approaches to address them, providing consultative guidance on data interpretation.
  • Champion data governance, ensuring data quality, integrity, privacy, and security in all analytical solutions and processes.
  • Architect and maintain a standardized People Resources metric set and reporting inventory.

  • Reporting to the Director of HR Technology & People Insights, this role will empower leadership with timely, data-driven decisions by designing and implementing scalable reporting, advanced analytics, and predictive insights, focusing on Workday Reporting and Workday Prism Analytics.
  • In a non-supervisory role, it will operate with a high degree of autonomy, guiding the analytical strategy and execution for people data by leading complex projects, mentoring colleagues on analytical best practices, and serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader in people analytics for the organization.
  • Translate intricate and complex data into clear, compelling and impactful stories and present to diverse audiences, including functional and senior leadership, influencing strategic decision-making.
  • Lead initiatives to increase data literacy and self-service reporting capabilities across Shake Shack.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business questions into analytical requirements and actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Demonstrates a learner's mindset; looks for opportunities to gain experience and understand their role and Shake Shack.
  • Knows how different parts of the business work together and how their work connects to broader business objectives and company strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in gathering and documenting requirements, assessing complexity, estimating effort, and defining timelines.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Extensive, hands-on experience with Workday HCM systems, specifically across multiple modules (e.g., HCM Core, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Learning, Benefits) in reporting, configuration, and/or security.
  • Demonstrable experience leading complex reporting and analytics projects.
  • Experience in a rapidly growing, multi-unit environment is preferred.
  • Workday Pro Certification(s) in Reporting, HCM, Prism Analytics, or related areas.
  • Experience specifically with Workday Prism Analytics implementation and usage.
