CVS Health is looking to improve inventory management and operational efficiency within their Omnicare closed-door pharmacies to ensure timely, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment for long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers.

Requirements

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
  • PTCB National Certification

Responsibilities

  • Helping to establish true ownership for inventory management activities at store level and provides a clear communication channel for each store
  • Supporting all pharmacy ordering activity
  • Leading store through resets (ex. Rx Planogram)
  • Establishing ownership of inventory management activities and ensuring the pharmacy team maintains the highest level of inventory standards; Enables a consistent approach to inventory management and critical functions to maintain target inventory levels and mitigate inventory loss
  • Monitors outcomes of Inventory Excellence Reporting and provides clear communication around the completion of inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
  • Overseeing pharmacy ordering and coaching the pharmacy team to the highest standards of day-to-day inventory management practices, including accurately putting away medication deliveries, preparing for and participating in annual physical inventories, and completing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, fridge organization, waiting bin inventories, etc.
  • Leading and assisting Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives

  • Successful incumbents will be able to triage pharmacy tasks, balance efficiency with accuracy, work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment, and achieve excellence in customer service through compassion and genuine care for all patients while ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met.

  • Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance
  • Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed
