CVS Health is looking to improve inventory management and operational efficiency within their Omnicare closed-door pharmacies to ensure timely, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment for long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers.
Requirements
- Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
- One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
- PTCB National Certification
Responsibilities
- Helping to establish true ownership for inventory management activities at store level and provides a clear communication channel for each store
- Supporting all pharmacy ordering activity
- Leading store through resets (ex. Rx Planogram)
- Establishing ownership of inventory management activities and ensuring the pharmacy team maintains the highest level of inventory standards; Enables a consistent approach to inventory management and critical functions to maintain target inventory levels and mitigate inventory loss
- Monitors outcomes of Inventory Excellence Reporting and provides clear communication around the completion of inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
- Overseeing pharmacy ordering and coaching the pharmacy team to the highest standards of day-to-day inventory management practices, including accurately putting away medication deliveries, preparing for and participating in annual physical inventories, and completing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, fridge organization, waiting bin inventories, etc.
- Leading and assisting Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives

- Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance
- Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed
