Xplor Pay is seeking a Lead Product Designer to drive the evolution of their payment solutions by crafting intuitive and impactful experiences for their cutting-edge payment products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UX Design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful UX/UI solutions for complex web and mobile applications.
- Mastery of design tools such as Figma (our primary tool) and Design Thinking.
- Proficient in creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, research questions, and user surveys.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, information architecture, design systems, and interaction design patterns.
- Experience conducting and synthesizing user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys) to inform design decisions.
- Solid understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers about technical constraints and opportunities.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) and using data to inform design decisions.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex design problems from conception through execution, delivering high-quality, user-centered solutions for new features and product enhancements across our global Partner and Merchant Solutions.
- Conduct user research, create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Ballpark, Hotjar, and Figma, ensuring designs are consistent with our Apollo Design System.
- Champion best practices in user experience (UX) and user interaction design (IxD), including usability heuristics, accessibility standards, and information architecture.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between design, product, and engineering teams, ensuring a shared understanding of design intent and technical feasibility.
- Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to product designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous learning within the team.
- Actively contribute to and evolve our Xplor Pay design systems, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all products.
- Be the voice of the user, advocating for their needs and pain points throughout the product development lifecycle through qualitative and quantitative research methods.

- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Business Development to define product strategy and requirements, ensuring design aligns with business goals and user needs.
- Experience in a Lead or Senior role is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to break down complex problems into manageable, actionable design solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously lead design initiatives, influence stakeholders, and mentor team members.
