Zoom is looking to solve the problem of creating a more intuitive and powerful Zoom Meetings experience, one of the most visible and impactful products in their ecosystem, by hiring a Lead Product Designer.
Requirements
- 12+ years in user-centered design, with a deep focus on real-time communication, collaboration, video, or social tools
- Experience leading complex projects involving cross-functional and cross-team stakeholder groups, spanning different timezones
- Strong systems thinker with the ability to contribute back to Prism, our design systems library.
- Expertise in Figma (and other relevant tools) for designing, prototyping, and refining intuitive meeting interactions.
- Possess proven ability to design for desktop and mobile, ensuring a frictionless experience across devices.
- Experience with designing seamless interactions that prioritize usability, visual polish, and innovation
- Ability to turn intricate workflows into intuitive, human-centered experiences
Responsibilities
- Designing at Scale - Lead high-impact, mission-critical projects that define the future of Zoom Meetings, including join flow, in-meeting UI, audio/video settings, and AI-driven features.
- Raising the Bar– Elevate Zoom Meetings into a best-in-class meetings and collaboration experience through exceptional visual and interaction design.
- Strategic Collaboration– Partner with cross-functional teams (PM, engineering, research, and accessibility) to align on product direction, deliver impactful work, and champion design excellence across surfaces.
- Design Leadership & Vision - Play a key role in driving high-quality design within the Meetings team.
- Advocating for Users– Champion user-centered design, balancing simplicity and modern capabilities to create intuitive, high-impact experiences.
- Quality through Data & Insight - Leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to guide design decisions, evaluate success, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Craft in Figma– Own design execution with confidence in Figma, delivering concept designs, robust prototypes, and clear specifications for engineering partners.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrate confidence to question, inspire, and influence, driving cross-functional teams toward world-class user experiences in fast-moving, opinionated environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly, advocating for users while navigating complexity with product, engineering, and executive teams.
