Requirements
- 10+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in financial services, fintech, or crypto, with deep exposure to institutional trading or market infrastructure.
- Proven success in leading go-to-market strategies for trading products, liquidity services, or data commercialization.
- Strong understanding of order book dynamics, market making, APIs, advanced order types, and institutional trading workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to create narratives that resonate with institutional clients, broker partners, and sophisticated trading firms.
- Track record of sales enablement success—building content, collateral, and strategies that drive client acquisition and retention.
- Data-driven mindset—comfortable using trading firm revenue, volume, and retention metrics to evaluate marketing impact.
- Skilled communicator across formats (Slack, docs, presentations, events) and audiences (executives, technical teams, trading clients).
Responsibilities
- Define product marketing strategy for exchange trading: Partner with product, sales, and strategy teams to craft the GTM vision for order book services, advanced trading products, and institutional APIs.
- Drive GTM execution for exchange products: Own end-to-end go-to-market planning and execution for initiatives spanning order books, liquidity services, advanced orders, spot/derivatives fee structures, and APIs.
- Shape market narratives: Create compelling positioning and messaging that communicates the value of Kraken’s exchange trading services for institutions, trading firms, and broker partners.
- Scale institutional adoption: Partner with sales and product to design incentive programs, onboarding flows, and enablement materials that maximize client growth, volume, and retention.
- Commercialize data and infrastructure: Lead marketing for market data, analytics, and licensing opportunities, highlighting Kraken’s competitive differentiation in transparency and depth.
- Empower sales and BD: Build collateral, playbooks, and enablement content that helps the team acquire and retain trading firm clients.
- Be a market and customer expert: Develop deep expertise on institutional trading needs, liquidity dynamics, and competitor offerings. Translate insights into marketing strategies that support order book revenue growth and ecosystem expansion.
