Edmentum is looking to innovate processes and elevate research impact to deliver transformative results for students and educators by hiring a Lead Research Associate.

Requirements

  • Proficient in R, Python, or other statistical software, with experience in version control and managing large data files.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics and research methods.
  • Experienced in designing research studies and analysis plans.
  • Demonstrated success in managing study participants.
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., GPT, Claude) and an awareness of their applications in research.
  • A track record of mentoring and guiding others in research best practices.
  • Familiar with educational technology and current trends.

Responsibilities

  • Define, refine, and own the full data acquisition lifecycle across multiple research teams.
  • Proactively coordinate external data acquisition and special studies, identifying new opportunities and maintaining robust tracking systems.
  • Develop and implement new processes to enhance data analysis efficiency and accuracy.
  • Mentor and guide junior research staff, reviewing analysis plans, code, and project deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, collaborating with data teams to ensure integrity.
  • Lead cross-functional collaborations to achieve ambitious project goals.
  • Represent the research team at conferences, presenting findings and contributing to team learning.

Other

  • Master’s degree in educational psychology, research methods, data science, or a related quantitative field plus 3+ years of relevant experience, including ideally experience working with school districts; or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of equivalent experience.
