Equitable is looking to automate business processes and unlock capacity for enhanced analytics and new ideas by overseeing data integration activities within their general ledger, financial products subledger, and peripheral systems.

Requirements

• Advanced development experience with SAP Native HANA
• Proficiency in Native HANA SQL
• Expertise in Smart Data Integration (SDI) – Flowgraphs & Procedures
• Experience with Smart Data Access (SDA)
• Strong knowledge of Calculation Views and Analytic Views
• Experience with SAP Analysis for Office, SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Working knowledge of ABAP and Core Data Services (CDS) Views

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of new applications and system enhancements in partnership with finance teams.
• Analyze existing financial processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend effective solutions.
• Facilitate system testing, including the creation of test plans and coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for data-related issues across financial systems.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and data flows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

Other

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
• Deep understanding of Financial Accounting for Life & Annuity Insurances
• Experience in Ledger and Sub-Ledger Data Analysis
• Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
• Location: This team member can work in the Syracuse, NY or Charlotte, NC offices on a hybrid schedule of being in office 2-3 days per week OR work fully remote.
